See the teacher will teach,
When the students are ready to listen.
But those who choose to sit in the pews
And refuse the good news,
Are NOT the fault of religion.

These were my exact thoughts when I saw the first video “Why I hate religion, but love Jesus.”  In the westernized world, religion gives people a sense of community. So, many will go to church, claim they’re of a certain religion, but don’t necessarily practice that faith.  It’s so ubiquitous that it’s ridiculous.  But, in other parts of the world (LIKE VIET NAM) people crawl on their hands and knees to worship God, to pray. Instead of gaining a community, they get persecuted. Religion is real, and it really bothers me that people use those who are idle in their faith as reason not to have religion.

Despite the ethos in the video, I do not just agree with it because it is a priest in a Catholic church. What he says makes sense. Christianity/Catholicism is not the same everywhere and it is not only defined by what is seen here in the United States…I wish people would realize that.
